Bone Grafting

bone graft is a surgical procedure that is used to repair bone or joint problems. Bone grafting, or bone tissue transplantation, is useful in repairing trauma-damaged bones or injured joints. It is also useful for developing bone around an embedded unit, such as removing the full knee where bone loss or fracture occurs. A bone graft may fill an area where bone is missing or add to the stability of the structure.
