Musculoskeletal Oncology

The Musculoskeletal Oncology Service is specialized in treating leg, pelvic and shoulder soft tissue and bone cancers, benign and malignant tumors, bone metastatic cancer, primary bone malignancy, sarcoma, and chronic fractures caused by malignancy in children and adults. Treatment of bone cancer also requires a multidisciplinary approach involving a variety of clinicians such as orthopedic oncologysurgical oncologyradiation oncologyradiology and pathology. Plans for treatment rely on the cancer's size, location, and level. Soft tissue and bone sarcomas are diagnosed and treated successfully by our multidisciplinary sarcoma center. This is the only federally funded and comprehensive sarcoma, where patients in all sarcoma-related disciplines receive integrated care from physicians.
